General Terms and Conditions for Participation in Certificate Programmes of the Wildau Institute of Technology (WIT) (GTC)
1. Registration
By registering for our certificate events, the participant agrees to the validity of the following terms and conditions. Any deviating regulations require the written confirmation of WIT.
2. Terms of payment
The participation fee must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date, irrespective of the payment by third parties - e.g. school authorities, employment agency, employer. Other payment modalities - e.g. payment by instalments - are possible by written agreement. The participant will receive an invoice for the payment of all fees, which must be paid stating the full invoice number.
3. Cancellation and termination
The participant may cancel his/her registration without giving reasons. Withdrawal and cancellation must always be declared in writing to WIT. In the event of cancellation by the participant at short notice from 14 days before the start of the event, cancellation fees amounting to 50% of the participation fee will be charged. If the participant cancels 7 days or more before the start of the event, the full participation fee must be paid. This also applies to participants who do not attend the event or do not attend part of it.
4. Changes and cancellation of events
WIT reserves the right to change the location, room and lecturers of the event. These measures as well as changes in the course of the event do not entitle the participant to withdraw from the contract or to change the fee. If demand or the number of participants is too low or for other important reasons - e.g. sudden illness of the lecturer, force majeure - WIT is entitled to cancel the planned event. Any payments already made will be refunded. There are no further claims against the WIT.
5. Use of software
By registering, the participant recognises that the software provided by WIT is used exclusively for course/seminar purposes and that any misuse will result in claims for damages on the part of WIT and third parties.
6. Retention of title
WIT retains unrestricted ownership of all deliveries of course materials until all payment obligations have been fulfilled in full by the participant. The resale of course materials is not permitted.
7. Liability
The documents provided as part of the training courses are prepared to the best of our knowledge and belief. Liability and guarantee for the correctness, topicality, completeness and quality of the contents are excluded. The WIT is not liable for accidents, damage, loss or theft of objects and vehicles brought to the event.
8. Copyright
All course and seminar concepts and documents may only be reproduced with the consent of WIT.
9. Data collection
The participant agrees to the automatic processing of personal data for the purpose of organising and conducting the event.
10. Validity
The conditions of participation apply from 01.02.2023.
11. Place of jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction is Wildau.
