Application requirements

  • University-level qualification (Bachelor’s degree, Diploma degree)

  • Fluent command of English (Level C1 CEFR, any of the following: TOEFL, IELTS or CPE). No language certificate is required for native-speakers and students with a degree from a programme taught in English

  • Minimum of one year of professional experience

Application Period

Students holding a degree from a German university:

The application period ends on June 30 2025. Please send your application via email: info@wit-wildau.de. Please also register on the online application portal of  TH Wildau from 1 MayStudents with a degree from a foreign university will apply via uni-assist from 1 April 2025.

If you hold a degree from a university outside Germany

Students who have gained their university degree outside Germany have to submit an online application via uni-assist application platform, regardless of their nationality. You should attach application documents with the attached notarized German or English translations. In case it should not be possible for you to submit notarized copies, you may hand in regular copies. All the required notarized copies have to be submitted until at latest 1 September 2025.

Structure and content of the study programme

The Aviation Management study programme includes three core areas: Business Administration and Management, Aviation Management as well as Management and Social Skills. Each of them includes several modules.

Aviation Management

Principles of Civil Aviation, Aviation Engineering and Technologies, Civil Legal Framework of International Aviation, Air Traffic Management and Control Systems, Safety and Security, Airline Management, Airport Management, Manufacturers, Maintenance, Aviation and Society (Social Impacts of Aviation).

Business Administration and Management

Human Resource Management, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance, International Marketing, International Management, Supply Chain Management, International Law.

Management and Social Skills

Project Management, Leadership and Motivation, Negotiation and Presentation, Cross-Cultural Communication, Decision Making and Problem Solving Techniques.

120-Credit-Point-Option

With our 120 credit point option we are offering a course programme equivalent to full-time studies. The course consists of each module of our 90 credit point Master programme and additional modules such as European Law and Policy, Advanced Research Methods, Case Study Work as well as workshops and internships.

Innovative Master programme for your international career

Launched in 2007, the innovative Aviation Management Master’s programme provides you with the skills and qualifications you need to advance your international career in a variety of aviation fields. The two-year full-time programme combines technical and operational know-how with broad management skills using state-of-the-art methods. Our lecturers are recognised experts from both academic institutions and leading companies in the industry. Through excellent teaching and supervision, you will gain a fundamental insight into the success factors in aviation and have the opportunity to work on your own practical study projects. Intensive seminar weeks provide excellent supervision, while the study mode allows you to combine work, family and study.

The Aviation Management programme is designed for students with a bachelor’s or diploma degree in engineering or business and at least one year’s work experience. Successful graduates will be well placed to work in the following areas: international airlines, airport authorities, air traffic control, aircraft and equipment manufacturers, maintenance and service companies, and regulatory bodies at local, national and international levels. Many of our graduates work for companies such as Lufthansa, Airbus, Siemens and DHL. In addition, the Aviation Management degree from the Technical University of Wildau can pave the way for doctoral studies.
